How do the DIY Miniature Houses work?

When you receive a kit, all parts for the house will be ready-to-assemble (RTA) and will include a comprehensive instruction booklet. Some of the given material includes wood boards, cloths, beads, wires, plastic pieces and paper parts.

The crafting process mostly involves cutting, gluing, folding, shaping wires. It is highly detailed; even some of the smallest items, such as books and pillows, require crafting. It truly is an exciting but relaxing journey.

Are these kits beginner friendly?

Making DIY crafting kits accessible to everyone at every skill level is one of the key values of Michu Things. So, yes, the kits are very beginner friendly! All you need is time and patience.

It is recommended to start with kits at 1-3 stars as higher difficulty kits take much more time to craft and can be overwhelming for first-timers.

Will my finished work look like the product pictures?

Absolutely! For miniature houses, if you put in enough time and patience, you can be assured that your work will look 90% identical to the product pictures, with possible minor imperfections that are hard to see.

In terms wool felting, many people start off by following instructions, and then decide to add a personal touch to their project. Most are happy with their own unique creations. Furthermore, our kits provide at least 30% more wool so you can start over if you don't like your previous design.

What do the Difficulty ratings mean?

The difficulty star rating on our miniature house kits measure how much time it would take to finish a product rather than how much experience you need. Keep in mind that our suggested time required to finish a project varies from person to person.

For our wool felting kits, the difficulty rating is somewhat related to your experience with wool felting. For beginners, it's recommended to start with 1-3 stars difficulty. However, it's still possible for a first-timer to create a stunning wool felt with 5 stars difficulty.

Will I need any additional tools and materials in order to work on my project?

All raw materials are included in each kit. We have taken much effort to include as many tools as needed for your DIY creations, however some tools, such as rulers, are easily accessible household essentials. Also, due to shipping restrictions, we are unable to include certain items such as glue.

Please check the “Required Tools” section of each product to ensure you have all the necessary items for your DIY project.

Can my child under 12 work on any of the kits?

Our DIY craft kits are not intended for children due to the need to use sharp tools and to handle very small parts and pieces. However, feel free to work on the kits together with your child; assign him/her simple tasks such as cutting paper or gluing the eyes onto a wool animal.

Please be advised that it is your sole responsibility to supervise your children at all times and that we are not responsible for any accidents.
